ABOUT US : Bio

Design + Renovation is headed by Waylan Tucker, a graduate of RISD (Master of Fine Arts) and Virginia Tech (Bachelor of Architecture).

He and his wife have lived in the Providence area since they moved here for graduate school. After school, his freelance work eventually led him to the field of remodeling. Though it may not have appeared like auspicious beginnings--hauling 2X4’s in his Chrysler and using his car jack to support a sagging porch—it is evidence of his talent for creative problem solving and improvising.

During the past 25 years, he built his career on producing quality work, finding creative solutions, and satisfying his clients, albeit with better tools.
